Cast Announced for the world premiere of Tales of the Artisan!

Fauquier Community Theatre’s production team of “Tales of the Artisan” is thrilled to release the

cast

for the world premiere of the magical new musical with performances on Fridays and weekends May 1 – 17, 2026.

 

The musical has a powerhouse

cast

,

and

audiences are sure to enjoy seeing this original work filled with lush music, intrigue, and humor. Book

and

music are written by the award-winning team of

Matt

Moore

and

Cate Murray. The musical is a heartwarming, gripping, sometimes whimsical but always moving story of a small Scots/Irish Gaelic family with a powerful secret fleeing political persecution in 1814 America.

 

“Tales of the Artisan” transports the viewers to a secret world of magic, wonder

and

intrigue. Part coming-of-age story, part action thriller,

and

part homage to the incredible connection of family, the musical features an evolution of early American music, beginning with its roots in Scotch/Irish culture

and

exploring aspects of early folk. The score is full of beautiful blends, big dance numbers, magic effects, breathtaking choreography,

and

features a small on-stage orchestra comprised of the primary characters.
