Not in Our House DC

FCT aligns with Not in Our House DC's mission to establish a culture of safety, respect, and accountability in our theatres. When creative environments are unsafe, both the artist and the art can become compromised, and artists often fear speaking out due to power imbalances and reputational concerns.

Not in Our House DC commits to supporting victims and survivors of sexual harassment, abuse, and intimidation, believing the theatre community should be a space of inclusion and fairness in which everyone involved is treated with respect, dignity, and honesty regardless of position. The initiative's Community Code of Conduct is based on communication, safety, respect, and accountability.

Other Policies at Fauquier Community Theatre

• No smoking, vaping, drug use, or alcoholic beverages in the theatre, dressing rooms, or rehearsal locations.
• No smoking or eating while in costume, indoors or outdoors.
• Compliance with county Parks and Recreation policies is required.
• Prop guns must remain within the theatre and never leave it.
• All participants must ensure safe production practices.
• Participation is strictly voluntary; participants agree to indemnify the theatre organization, and liability waivers are required.
